jake shields could easily go back to 170 and beat diaz for the title…in a weak division…in a company thats still building a roster…and he will after hendo knocks him the fuck out!
I have to admit Diaz dint look so great in that fight. But at the end of the round he did manage to take Noons down. All Im saying is they need to fight again. And my money is on Diaz.
Theres no way noons would have tko him he landed a big knee that cut him open but nick wasnt hurt to where he wasnt defending

Good argument. KJ Noones came the closest to it about 2 years ago. A contraversial stoppage by cut. But Noone’s had his number. Diaz was getting outclassed and would’ve been TKO’d inevitably in the fight. But Diaz is totally not the same fighter from 2 years ago. His striking accuracy is freekish. I don’t know who in Strikeforce can take him at 170 now.

i was bummed about the outcome of this fight. Zaromskis was coming off of 3 previous wins….all by head kick KO. he didn’t even attempt one in this fight. he either crumbled under the pressure or was overwhelmed by Dias’ striking. Zaromskis has major star potential and matching him up with a p4p contender like Dias for a US debut is questionable. his career should’ve been eased in a bit more for better marketing.
diaz is better in boxing,zeromskis didint strike with his lgs,this is his biggest wepoon.

Let me here for the 209 fighter! This guy is from the same town I am and I would see him around and hear his name all the time. Stockton has a lot of shit around, but has some great athletes. Nick works his ass off and you won’t to beat you better do CARDIO FOREVER. Nick, keep beating ass man, you are one of the things that Stockton should be proud of.

shields should go back to 170…he could easily take the strikeforce welterweight title.
Nick Diaz’s boxing is some of the best in MMA. His punches are so accurate and he also has a granite chin. Add to that his BJJ is top notch, and it’s easy to see why he’s Strikeforce’s 170lb champion. That being said, I don’t think he could dominate as much in UFC. The UFC welterweight division is full of some of the best fighters in the world. Fitch, Alves, Koscheck, Daley, and of course GSP would all be huge challenges for Diaz.
Actually no… it wouldn’t….
First, Jake’s stand-up is lame. GSP would blast him like he did Fitch.
Then, All Shields has left is his weak ass single leg. And if Kos ain’t taken GSP down, then Shields has no chance.
People are going to forget about Shields when Hendo smashes him in April.
